Privacy Policy

Niyet is designed around a simple promise: no accounts, no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking. Personal app data remains on your device.

Data Niyet does not collect

Niyet does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share your personal information. We do not operate user accounts or an application backend. We do not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.

Location

If you allow location access, Niyet uses approximate device location to select a nearby city and calculate prayer times and qibla direction. This processing happens on your device. Location is not transmitted to us or stored on our servers. You can decline location access and choose a city manually.

Information stored on your device

Your selected city, preferences, notification choices, prayer marks, journal entries, dhikr sessions, and other personal settings are stored locally on your device. Depending on your platform settings, the operating system may include app data in an encrypted device backup controlled by you and the platform provider.

Notifications

Prayer and calendar reminders are scheduled locally through the operating system. Niyet does not use a remote notification server and does not receive a record of your reminders.

Purchases

Niyet Plus purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your payment-card or bank details. The store provides the app with limited purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock paid features. Store processing is governed by Apple’s or Google’s own privacy policy.

Religious and calendar content

Prayer times, qibla direction, Hijri dates, and bundled content are calculated or loaded on the device. Niyet does not transmit your prayer activity or religious preferences.

Children’s privacy

Because Niyet does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting your data

You can delete locally stored Niyet data from the app’s settings where available. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage also removes local app data, subject to any device backup you control.

Changes to this policy

If Niyet’s privacy practices change, this page will be updated before the related app update is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
